Small Hula Girl Cosmetic Pouch

I found a piece of this fabric that was left over from the bigger bag I made last year, so I decided to make a little cosmetic pouch of the fabric I had left. I only had enough for one side, but I really liked how it turned out with red on the back.

It measures 7.5 inches wide and about 5 inches tall. It features a 6 inch orange zipper, and white canvas duck cloth inside. Machine Washable. Ready to ship!

Princess purse for my Princess

I've been thinking about whether I want to do the craft fair at Chapparel this December. Last year I sold a lot of art folders, but not many cosmetic bags. So I've been trying to think of something else I could make to display and sell if I do the craft fair again.

I made this little cosmetic bag for my daughter Alexis to hold all her lip glosses in. I was unaware of how many she had! She needed a bigger makeup bag because the little one was bulging with lip glosses that she can barely zip it up! So since I had some left over Rapunzel fabric that she picked out I decided I'd make her a little purse. The little purse turned out so cute and I got the idea that these would be great to add to my inventory for the December craft fair.
What do you think? A big seller?

Dusting off my Sewing Machine...

I've taken a long, needed break from sewing and anything crafty. I just havent felt up to it, and I've been ignoring the mess on my sewing table for months now. But with a new baby on it's way, I thought it might be a good idea to start cleaning my craft area. I always feel so much better when I have a clean and organized table, and I feel like sewing more too.
In the piles of stuff I've collected in the last few months I found some fabrics cut for the Large Makeup Bags so I got organized and started sewing. I had 6 Large makeup bags waiting to be sewn!! I think I got a little ahead of myself when I was cutting the pattern! I was able to finish 2 bags a night this week, (once I got my kids in bed). So here's a look at my weeks work. All for sale and ready to ship.
